Kneebouncers
Okay, this has nothing to do with living green, simplicity or even compacting, but I had to share it anyway.
My little man loves Kneebouncers: a site offering games for the wee ones. All the games can be played by the touch of any key.
While I do feel the tiniest bit uncomfortable with my 13-month old playing computer games no matter how age appropriate they are, he really does love that site. The Peek-a-boo Game, the Music Games are his timeless favorites, and he’s recently developed a love of the Bounce and Float Game.
He sees Mommy and Daddy on the computer a lot, and the little guy really wants to participate. It’s awfully cute to watch him banging away on the keyboard and giggling delightedly as the sunshine says “Peek-a-boo” on his command.
What can I say? It gives him lots of joy.

That site looks really fun.
(okay…I know it is fun, I played some of the games)
My kids are too old for it, but I’ll pass it along to friends with littler ones.

I am so glad you have the counter on here for the number of plastic bags used. When ever I go to Walmart or the grocery store everything gets put into plastic bags and I always forget to use the ones we already have. Today at the grocery store I brought the one nice tote bag I have and then I used plastic bags that I brought from home so even if I am still using plastic bags I am trying to recycle them - I never throw them away unless they break.

Tiff - I’m glad you like that counter. It’s amazing how many of those we use. Since we shop at Mtn Earth almost exclusively now–and they reuse bags, we’ve cut down on our consumption a lot, but I still need to remember my cloth ones because they’re so much sturdier than plastic anyway.
